Mount Pleasant Cemetary
I love snow! I see no problem with it whatsoever. What is to hate? It's beautiful. It makes everything look clean and new and magical. How can that be ugly? I love living in a country that has four seasons. I would go absolutely insane if I lived in a place that was the same year after year with no change in season or weather. I couldn't live in Florida or California or the Caribbean. I can't stand overly hot weather. In fact my favourite season is fall because it's usually a happy medium as far as temperature is concerned.
In fact summers here often are unbearably hot. The smog really turns the city into an oven. It's AWFUL! Luckily I have an air conditioner and don't care as much anymore. As long as I have a cool place to hide in on the +40 with humidity days I'm good.

The fire pots aglow at Nathan Phillips Square
So this year I went skating in Nathan Phillips Square for the first time. Lisa and John had their joint birthday party and decided that was the thing to do. It happened to fall during the WinterCity Festival and there were other events going on at the square. There was Alice in Wonderland performed on stilts and a zillion clay pots on fire burning all around the square.
We had a great time skating around even though the rink was extremely crowded! I think next time I'd rather go to a small neighbourhood rink. You couldn't really move and if you fell you were in danger of taking out other people. Besides that all you can do is skate in a big circle. Not really great for people just learning.

After skating we all went to the Mandarin for dinner! 30 of us at a really LONG table. It just goes to show that I have a lot of friends here. Most times at home I'd be lucky to get three people out. We all stuffed ourselves silly because it is Chinese New Year and the dumpling festival is happening at the Mandarin. Mmmmmm yummy.
On Sunday, Kate, Lisa and I went shopping. It was great fun. This week-end will be not as exciting. It's good though cause I have a few projects I want to complete so that should give me the time to do them.

The tree in front of the Manulife Building
At work today I spotted this amazing tree down the street. It looked so beautiful all covered in snow. My manager let me take the camera and go outside and photograph it. How cool is my job?
